Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 3 Registered Nurses to join the Sandra Chapman Centre, which is a Haematology/Oncology Day Unit. The Day Unit operates Monday to Friday, 0800-1800
1 Post is 37.5 hours as a Fixed term contract
Full time and part time hours as a Permanent contract
Shift pattern will be discussed at interview.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicants will participate in the safe delivery and planning of systemic anti-cancer therapy and supportive care to individuals with malignant and non-malignant The successful applicant will participate in the safe delivery and planning of systemic anti-Haematology and Oncology disorders.

We are committed to regular professional development and in-service training for personal and professional development.
The ability to perform Venepuncture, Cannulation, Care of Central Venous Devices and competency in the administration of intravenous drug are desirable skills.
Applicants should also have a genuine desire to work in this area of nursing, which covers many Haematological conditions and Oncology specialties.
Staff are expected to undertake training in the administration of Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment.
Main duties of the job
Assessment of patients prior to Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT).
Administration of SACT.
General IV Drug Administration, Cannulation and CVAD care.
Provision of Acute Haematology and Oncology care.
Administration of Blood Products.
Liaise with members of the MDT team.
Contribute to the management of operational services on a daily basis.
