We have an exciting opportunity for an Operational Support Officer to join the Surgical Division.

You will need to be highly motivated with a high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team. You will need to be adaptable and flexible to meet the demands of the services.

The role will support the Division in the the delivery of corporate targets and strategies by undertaking a wise range of day to day operation duties in support of the Deputy General Manager and Administration Admin Lead to ensure that the Directorate Specialties meet quality, activity and financial key performance indicators (KPI's) across inpatient/outpatient services.

Main duties of the job

• Support the Division in the delivery of corporate targets and strategies and day-to-day operational service delivery.
• Support the DeputyGeneral Manager andAdministrative Admin Leadto meet quality, activity and financialKPIs.
• Monitor EPR, RTT, Patient Tracker Listand data qualityto ensure waitingtimes and bookingtargets are metand avoid breaches.
• Input and producedata using ESR, EPR, rotas, trackers, Datix and otherrelevant systems.
• Supportprojects, waiting listinitiatives, EPR trainingand service improvement.
• Arrange meetings, takeminutes, complete actionlogs, manage diariesand maintain Directoratesystems.
• Escalate resource concernsandoperational issues andsupport Business Continuityand Emergency Planning.
• Monitor Consultant annualleave, capacity planning, mandatory training andappraisals.
• Participate in auditand quality improvementdevelopments.
• Undertake SPDRs andcontribute to Directoratetraining plans.
• Undertake annual appraisal and maintain professional knowledge and a 3-year portfolio of evidence.
