ABOUT THE ROLE Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities will include: Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation.

Main duties of the job

The role of the Senior Care Assistant - Nights at Avery Healthcare involves supporting and working with the care team to provide high standards of personal care in a safe and inclusive environment for residents and staff. Responsibilities include monitoring the wellbeing of residents, participating in person-centred care planning, supporting medication requirements, supervising and supporting staff development, and acting as a point of contact with residents, their relatives, visitors, and healthcare professionals. Candidates are expected to live the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all their duties. They should have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, have 2 years experience working in a similar care environment, have effective communication skills, possess a positive attitude toward supporting both residents and staff, and be flexible in their responsibilities.

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Acting as a key point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.

• Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment.

• Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
