As a Care Practitioner, you will support residents with their daily lives, helping them to maintain their independence, dignity and wellbeing. Working as part of a caring and professional team, you will build meaningful relationships with residents and contribute to creating a positive and enriching home environment.

Main duties of the job
As a Care Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents during the day. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Personalized Support: Assisting residents with personal care routines, such as bathing, dressing, and mobility, while respecting their dignity and independence.
- Meal Assistance: Supporting residents during meal times, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met.
- Engagement and Activities: Encouraging residents to participate in hobbies, social events, and daily activities to enrich their lives.
- Health Monitoring: Observing and recording any changes in residents health or behavior and promptly reporting concerns to senior staff.
- Environmental Standards: Maintaining cleanliness and a welcoming atmosphere in residents rooms and communal areas.
- Team Collaboration: Working closely with colleagues to ensure all residents receive consistent, high-quality care.
- Ongoing Learning: Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Job description
The Care Practitioner (Days) is responsible for delivering safe, effective and person-centred care that promotes residents' wellbeing, dignity and quality of life. The postholder will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure residents receive support that reflects their individual needs, preferences and choices.
The role requires strong interpersonal skills, a caring approach and a commitment to maintaining high standards of care. The successful candidate will contribute to a positive living environment, support residents to remain as independent as possible and uphold the values and standards of The Oaks Care Home.
