We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Practitioner (Days) to join our dedicated team and help lead the delivery of exceptional care for our residents.

As a Senior Care Practitioner, you will be a key member of the care team, combining hands-on support with leadership responsibilities. You will help ensure residents receive high-quality care that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing while supporting colleagues to maintain the highest standards throughout the home.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Care Assistant at our home, your role may involve:

  • Undertaking any necessary training
  • Supporting our residents with personal care and hygiene, eating, and getting involved with daily activities.
  • Providing emotional support and companionship
  • Supporting our residents to live an enriched and fulfilled life, focussed on their individual hobbies, preferences and abilities.
  • Maintaining high standards within the care home environment
  • Senior-level duties to support the Home Manager, which may involve staff supervisions, appraisals, record-keeping, liaising with outside professionals, interviewing etc.

Job description

The Senior Care Practitioner (Days) is responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality care and providing day-to-day leadership within the home. The postholder will work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to ensure residents receive care that is responsive to their needs, preferences and choices.

The role combines practical care duties with supervisory responsibilities and requires a committed individual who can lead by example, support team development and contribute to maintaining a safe, caring and well-managed environment. The successful candidate will promote the values of Burscough Manor Care Home while ensuring residents remain at the heart of all care delivery.
