We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Practitioner (Nights) to join our team and help ensure residents receive exceptional care and support throughout the night.
As a Senior Care Practitioner, you will combine hands-on care with leadership responsibilities, supporting colleagues and promoting the highest standards of care. You will play a vital role in maintaining residents' wellbeing, comfort and safety while creating a calm and reassuring environment during night-time hours.

Main duties of the job
As a Senior Care Practitioner at our home, your role may involve:
- Undertaking any necessary training
- Supporting our residents with personal care and hygiene, eating, and getting involved with daily activities.
- Providing emotional support and companionship
- Supporting our residents to live an enriched and fulfilled life, focussed on their individual hobbies, preferences and abilities.
- Maintaining high standards within the care home environment
- Senior-level duties to support the Home Manager, which may involve staff supervisions, appraisals, record-keeping, liaising with outside professionals, interviewing etc.
Job description
The Senior Care Practitioner (Nights) is responsible for supporting the effective delivery of care services throughout the night and providing day-to-day leadership to the care team. The postholder will work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to ensure residents receive compassionate care that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing.
The role combines supervisory responsibilities with direct resident support, ensuring care standards are maintained and the home operates safely and effectively during night-time hours. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional resident outcomes.

*Overtime is paid for working over full time hours. However, overtime enhancement will not feature on your contract of employment and can be withdrawn at any time as managers decision is final.
