We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Care Practitioner (Nights) to join our team and play an important role in delivering exceptional care throughout the night.
As a Care Practitioner, you will provide practical and emotional support to residents, helping to ensure their comfort, wellbeing and peace of mind during night-time hours. Working alongside a caring and professional team, you will help create a calm and reassuring environment where residents feel safe, valued and supported
Main duties of the job
As a Care Practitioner on Nights, your role will include:
- Assisting residents with personal care, meals, and evening routines to ensure comfort and well-being throughout the night
- Conducting regular safety and welfare checks on all residents
- Accurately documenting and updating care records and reports
- Managing and administering medications in line with care plans and policies
- Responding promptly to residents needs, including addressing any emergencies or changes in health
- Supporting and assisting new or less-experienced team members during the night shift
- Helping maintain a clean and safe environment, including performing light housekeeping tasks as needed
- Collaborating with the day shift team for a smooth handover and continuity of care
Job description
The Care Practitioner (Nights) is responsible for delivering high-quality care and support to residents during night shifts. The postholder will assist residents with their individual needs while promoting comfort, safety and wellbeing in accordance with care plans, policies and procedures.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will contribute to maintaining a safe and supportive environment, ensuring residents receive compassionate and respectful care. The role requires strong communication skills, a caring nature and a commitment to maintaining excellent standards of care and professionalism.
