As a Care Practitioner, you will play an important role in promoting residents' comfort, wellbeing and independence during night-time hours. Working alongside a caring and professional team, you will provide practical support, reassurance and companionship while helping to create a calm and safe environment for all residents.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a caring and reliable Care Practitioner (Nights) to join our team at Priesty Fields Care Home.
The successful candidate will support residents with their individual care needs throughout the night, ensuring they receive compassionate and responsive care tailored to their preferences and requirements. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to promote dignity, wellbeing and quality of life while maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about caring for others and committed to delivering outstanding person-centred support.
Job description
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in line with individual care plans.
- Support residents throughout the night, promoting comfort, dignity and wellbeing.
- Assist residents with personal care and night-time routines where required.
- Monitor residents' wellbeing and promptly report any changes or concerns.
- Provide emotional support, reassurance and companionship to residents.
- Promote residents' independence, privacy and choice at all times.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuity and consistency of care.
- Support residents with hydration, nutrition and general wellbeing requirements where appropriate.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable environment throughout the home.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
- Participate in mandatory training and ongoing professional development activities.
- Uphold the values and standards of Priesty Fields Care Home and Sandstone Care Group.
- Support colleagues and contribute positively to a culture of teamwork, professionalism and respect.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably required to support the effective operation of the home.

*Overtime is paid for working over full time hours. However, overtime enhancement will not feature on your contract of employment and can be withdrawn at any time as managers decision is final.
