Main duties of the job
We are seeking a creative, organised and enthusiastic Senior Activity & Lifestyle Coordinator to join our team at Ribble Court Care Home.
The successful candidate will lead the planning and delivery of a diverse and meaningful programme of activities and wellbeing experiences designed to support residents' physical, emotional, social and cognitive wellbeing. You will work closely with residents, families, colleagues and community partners to ensure activities are tailored to individual preferences and contribute positively to quality of life.
This role requires strong leadership skills, creativity and a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of older people through meaningful engagement and wellbeing-focused initiatives.
Job description
Main Duties of the Job
- Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of a high-quality activities and wellbeing programme.
- Develop meaningful and person-centred experiences that support residents' physical, emotional, social and cognitive wellbeing.
- Build positive relationships with residents to understand their interests, life experiences, preferences and aspirations.
- Support, mentor and guide Activity and Lifestyle Coordinators and other colleagues involved in resident engagement.
- Organise events, celebrations, themed experiences and community-based initiatives throughout the year.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local community groups, schools, charities, entertainers and external organisations.
- Promote social inclusion and encourage residents to maintain existing interests and develop new ones.
- Coordinate outings and special experiences that enhance residents' quality of life and community connections.
- Support the delivery of dementia-friendly, sensory and therapeutic wellbeing activities.
- Monitor participation levels and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and wellbeing initiatives.
- Gather feedback from residents and families to support continuous improvement of the lifestyle programme.
- Work collaboratively with care and management teams to ensure residents' wellbeing needs are reflected in activity planning.
- Manage activity resources and budgets effectively, maintaining accurate expenditure records and ensuring value for money.
- Maintain records relating to resident engagement, participation and outcomes in line with company procedures.
- Ensure activities are delivered safely and in accordance with relevant policies, risk assessments and health and safety requirements.
- Act as an ambassador for Ribble Court Care Home and Sandstone Care Group, promoting a positive and inclusive culture at all times.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably required to support the effective operation of the home and the wellbeing of residents.
