Job description
- Clinical Care: Provide patient care via face-to-face, telephone, digital consultations and home visits. Prescribe medications, request and interpret diagnostic tests, and manage acute illnesses, chronic conditions and minor injuries. Deliver preventative care including vaccinations, health screening and health promotion.
- Triage & Patient Navigation: Participate in the triage hub rota, support the navigation team with clinical advice, and review or manage patient queries allocated to the GP.
- Safeguarding: Remain vigilant to safeguarding concerns, follow safeguarding protocols and escalate concerns promptly, seeking guidance from the Designated Safeguarding Lead or Group Manager when required.
- Professional Development: Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge through ongoing training, peer learning and supervision. Support the education and training of students, junior doctors and other healthcare professionals where appropriate.
- Clinical Governance & Quality: Support the practice in meeting national targets (e.g. QOF, IIF and access standards), comply with clinical governance requirements, participate in audits and meetings, and manage time effectively across clinical and administrative responsibilities.
