Main duties of the job
What you'll do
Lead Strategy and Programme DeliveryLead the delivery of local sexual health strategies and programmes, ensuring they are informed by evidence, data and best practice.
Build Strong PartnershipsCoordinate multi-agency partnerships across health, local government and voluntary sector organisations to strengthen prevention and improve outcomes.
Reduce Health InequalitiesIdentify priority populations and develop targeted approaches to reach underserved and high-need communities.
Support Commissioning and Quality ImprovementProvide public health expertise to commissioning, mobilisation and contract monitoring activities, ensuring services remain responsive to local need.
Use Evidence to Drive ImprovementApply epidemiological analysis, needs assessments and public health evidence to shape future service development and identify opportunities for innovation.
Provide Leadership and ExpertiseSupport colleagues and stakeholders through effective leadership, project management, facilitation and partnership working.
Job description
- Lead the delivery of sexual health strategies locally
- Co-ordinate multi-agency sexual health partnerships across health, local authority and voluntary sector organisations in order to build capacity across partners to deliver high-quality, evidence-based sexual health interventions .
- Support commissioning, mobilisation and contract monitoring arrangements for Public Health contracts with implementation of population health needs assessment findings, epidemiological analysis and interpretation of evidence and data in relation to sexual health .
- Work closely with relevant department colleagues to support future commissioning planning.
- Identify priority populations and inequalities and develop targeted approaches to improve sexual health outcomes working across LBB and the system; ensuring under-served and high-need groups are actively engaged in shaping sexual health services and interventions
- Develop evidenced based service specifications and provide public health expertise in identifying gaps in the current provision of programmes and plan appropriate innovative improvements if needed.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the level of the post, as required to ensure the efficient and effective running of the organisation.
