We are seeking to recruit a committed, and enthusiastic GP to join our dynamic team at The Bincote Surgery for up to six sessions per week, with a competitive sessional rate, dependent on experience.

Main duties of the job
In general, the candidate will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with working within Primary Care as a General Practitioner:
- Patient Consultations both face to face and telephone
- Support with the triage appointment system
- Making decisions relating to patient care
- Making the appropriate referrals where necessary
- Undertake signing of prescriptions
- Liaising with the admin team
- Participate in staff and clinical meetings
- Home visits
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.

Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care for patients presenting with undifferentiated illness.
- Conduct face-to-face, telephone and video consultations as appropriate.
- Diagnose, investigate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Prescribe safely and effectively in accordance with local and national prescribing guidance.
- Make appropriate referrals to secondary care and community services.
- Review laboratory and diagnostic test results promptly.
- Undertake home visits where clinically appropriate.
- Provide health promotion, disease prevention and lifestyle advice.
- Participate in safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults in accordance with practice policies.
- Maintain accurate, contemporaneous and legally compliant clinical records.
Practice Responsibilities
- Participate in clinical meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Contribute to practice audits, quality improvement initiatives and service development.
- Support achievement of QOF, Enhanced Services and other contractual obligations.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, pharmacists, physician associates, care coordinators, social prescribers and administrative staff.
- Assist with clinical governance activities including significant event reviews and learning from incidents.
- Support the development and implementation of practice policies and clinical protocols.
- Working in accordance with WNL ICB and Enfield GP Federation on the Long Term Conditions program model of care
Professional Responsibilities
- Maintain full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and hold a licence to practise.
- Remain on the NHS England Medical Performers List.
- Participate in annual appraisal and five-yearly revalidation.
- Undertake continuing professional development (CPD) to maintain clinical competence.
- Comply with GMC Good Medical Practice guidance.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with GDPR, NHS policies and Caldicott Principles.
- Participate in mandatory training.

We serve approximately 6,800 patients and are part of Enfield South West Primary Care Network, West & North London ICB, and actively involved with Enfield GP Federation.
