Management Accounts Assistant - Band 4 Are you looking to start or continue an exciting and rewarding career in NHS finance?

To provide support to the Financial Management function in providing a full range of accounting services including budgeting and budgetary control, to meet the monthly Trust and external NHS reporting requirements in line with pre-determined timetables. In addition to this the post holder is responsible for a range of management accounting services within the Financial Management function.

To assist the Management Accounts team to provide financial support to the various directorates, ensuring full compliance with best financial practice specifically in relation to:o Budget settingo Financial budget reportingo Forecasting of expenditure and income/activityo Costingo Delivery of Trust Efficiency Programme (TEP)o Business case developmento Line Management duties.

To support in communicating financial information to non-financial managers in a manner that is clear and effective, to support them in effective decision making.

Main duties of the job

Who are we looking for?

Somebody with the desire to support the Financial Management function as an Management Accounts Assistant, who knows they are ready to deliver in an exciting but challenging role.

You'll need to be studying towards your AAT qualification or equivalent, with the initiative, drive and commitment to work in a complex and changing environment and the drive to deliver quality improvements.

The post holder must be self-motivated and possess an analytical mind-set complemented by good communication skills and a collaborative approach. This is an outstanding opportunity to work closely with clinical staff and other budget holders to assist in delivering financial analysis, and ensure delegated budgets are effectively managed.

You'll have the opportunity to work with a breadth of stakeholders with competing requirements and develop the discipline to deliver to strict timetables.
