Job summary
The Practice Administrator will support the delivery of patient recall and associated administrative task. The post holder will carry out recallrelated tasks, support data quality activity and contribute to clinical and administrative workflows. The role supports the practices commitment to maintaining clinical quality, meeting targets, and maximising income while upholding high standards of patient care.
Main duties of the job
- Support patient recall for chronic diseases, diary-dated items, and vaccination eligibility.
- Support recall for PCN work including Structured Medication Reviews and IIF activity.
- Arrange clinic appointments and send patient invitations as delegated.
- Complete referrals to Nursing Homes and District Nurses and produce blood forms.
- Support diabetic retinopathy checks and referrals with Eagle Bridge.
- Provide administrative support for DMARD and DOAC monitoring.
- Identify eligible patients for flu and COVID clinics using searches.
- Ensure correct coding is used on invitations for QOF indicators.
- Review medical records to add missed coding or prepare lists for clinicians.
- Check hospital correspondence for missing annual care plans and reviews.
- Check District Nurse entries for missing clinical information.
- Assist with population searches and provide data for clinical audit.
- Action patient Tasks and Docman workflow tasks, including OAdmin tasks.
- Support daily apportioning of Path Lab results to clinicians.
- Maintain accurate TeamNet records for recall related protocols.
- Update practice protocols for areas of responsibility.
- Support staff induction and provide ongoing training as delegated.
- Keep up to date with QOF, IIF, PCN DES and other scheme guidelines.
