Job summary
The role of the Administrator in the Patient Records Team provides an efficient and comprehensive patient records support service to our clinicians and external customers.
You will be required to:
- Maintain a high standard of administrative skills to meet the needs of the role.
- Ensure accurate, efficient problem-solving skills.
- Process investigations efficiently and effectively
- Treat all aspects of your role with the highest level of confidentiality.
Main duties of the job
Day-to-day administrative duties include but are not limited to, scanning hospital letters into our inhouse system, processing deductions for patients who have left our practice, registering new patients, dealing with external and internal queries, filing, and retrieving patients' medical notes, opening, distributing, and franking of mail.
We are looking for 1 office-based position working 30 hours per week - 6 hours per day over 5 days Monday to Friday.

Main duties / responsibilities of the role:
- Day-to-day administrative duties include but are not limited to, scanning hospital letters into our inhouse system, processing deductions for patients who have left our practice, registering new patients, dealing with external and internal queries, filing, and retrieving patients' medical notes, opening, distributing, and franking of mail.
- Ensure all admin / patients record team duties are carried out efficiently and effectively whilst always having the patient at the forefront of your mind, enabling our GPs to deliver the best patient care.
- Ensure you understand all aspects of your role and adhere to the teams SOP.
- Ensure you meet individual / team KPIs / targets.
- Provide cover / overtime for your team during periods of annual leave / sickness.
