Job summary

The Team Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the team, in partnership with clinical and admin leads and the Service Manager. We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent mental health services and can support team members to achieve their potential. Key responsibilities will include staff supervision, appraisal, recruitment and day to day management. Also ensuring that people have timely access to our services and receive treatment in line with our pathways. You will promote person - centred care with a recovery focus, wherever possible.

The post holder will be part of the PTHB Mental Health Manager's On-Call Rota, which is a 12-hour on-call period approximately 15 times a year

This will be an opportunity to manage an enthusiastic, evidence-based team striving for excellence in working with colleagues who are passionate about promoting positive mental health within the community.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, though this may change depending on the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job

Ensure the comprehensive provision of a cost effective, accessible, appropriate and responsive Community Mental HealthTeam (CMHT) service to service users with complex mental health needs. o Support the Adult Services Manager and Health Board/Local Authority personnel with the implementation of the PowysDementia Plan Mental Health National Service Frameworks, underpinned by a person-centred approach and develop policiesand protocols to support the associated principles and values. o Continuing responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care needs and quality assurance. o Develop and coordinate a multi-professional approach providing evidence based mental health care to all those who usethe service. This collaboration will harness an integrative agency approach so that physical, psychological and social careagencies are working together in providing holistic care to individuals who require its support. o Responsible for the continued development of the CMHT and ensure service delivery is of a high professional standard, inline with Health Board policies and procedures.
