An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Senior Project Support Officer to join the North West Ambulance Service's Programme Management Office (PMO). The position is based at Broughton House, Preston and will require you to work in a flexible manner to provide support to a diverse workload across a broad range of projects.
Main duties of the job
You will be paid in accordance with Annex 21 of the Agenda for Change. To apply you will need Maths and English A-C GCSE or equivalent qualification. Upon joining the Trust, staff will be paid based on a Band 4 NHS training rate of pay for two-year apprenticeship, starting salary will be £25,272 (based on 26/27 NHS pay scale.
Upon completion of your apprenticeship, you will be eligible to move onto a full Senior Project Support Officer contract of employment. The salary for this will be Band 4 £28,392 per annum.
When you commence your apprenticeship in the Trust's PMO Team you will work alongside our Senior Project Support Officers who will mentor and support you throughout your apprenticeship journey towards achieving a successful completion of your L3 business administration accreditation.

Senior Project Support Officers provide vital assistance to project managers; this role requires a highly organised, dynamic professional who possesses the capability to work on a variety of projects. As an apprentice senior project support officer, you wont only perform routine administrative duties like minute taking rather, your responsibilities will be inextricably tied to the success of the project you are working on. Driving everything forward from planning to implementation, your actions will directly influence the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the project. This exciting role will lead you to working with a variety of key stakeholders both inside and outside of the Trust and will provide the opportunity to be part of a team that delivers fundamental change to continually improve patient care.
