Job summary
Bewick Crescent Surgery is seeking a highly organised and proactive Rota - Co-ordinator to join our busy practice team to cover maternity leave for a fixed period of 15 months starting November 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator with workforce planning or rota management experience to play a key role in supporting the delivery of safe, effective patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating GP rotas, trainee doctor rotas and inductions, clinical room rotas and managing the practice generic email inbox. Working closely with GP Partners, the Practice management team and clinical leads, you will ensure that staffing levels are maintained and appointment capacity is optimised to meet the needs of our patient population.
Main duties of the job
- Plan, coordinate and maintain GP, pharmacist and room rotas
- Monitor staffing levels and identify potential rota gaps
- Create, amend and maintain appointment templates withing Systmone.
- As a training practice plan for GP trainees and students and work with their GP mentors regarding rotas.
- Act as a key point of contact for rota related queries
- Support workforce planning and service capacity management
