Job summary

MSK Services, Stafford and Cannock are looking to recruit an experienced Physiotherapy Practitioner to join our friendly and innovative team. You will be required to hold a valid HCPC registration. You will be able to evidence advanced skills as a senior clinician working with patients with musculoskeletal pain and have a clear desire to expand your knowledge & skills with a capacity for autonomous clinical decision-making and problem solving. The post holder would be based in the Stafford and Cannock area and should have access to a car for work purposes as there may be a requirement to travel to different sites within the organisation.

The post holder will play a leading role in our MSK team within the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) with support from the service Clinical and Operational Leads. MPFT is a large, integrated NHS organisation and by becoming part of our team you will be well supported and empowered to deliver services consistent with our Trust values. We have strong connection and joint appointment with Keele University. The Musculoskeletal Service spans across both North and South Staffordshire providing a vast support network and wealth of knowledge.

If you are able to manage a varied caseload of complex Musculoskeletal patients, committed to CPD and have the desire to develop yourself and the service, with a keen eye on improving patient care, then we would be keen to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be part of the Allied Health Professions (AHP) providing Physiotherapy treatment and will work in a variety of settings.

Be an Advanced Physiotherapist and have a detailed professional and clinical knowledge. The post holder will be an advanced skilled Clinician.

Be responsible for a defined population of service users in a variety of settings across the Partnership Trust including the Community and hospitals.

Be skilled in the assessment of complex/specialist care/support needs and in the development, implementation and evaluation of care/support packages.

Have supervisory, training and leadership responsibilities where appropriate and will have some responsibility for team performance and service developments/improvements.

Demonstrate initiative and be creative in finding solutions to problems.

Work with the Team Leader undertaking delegated tasks in Team Management.
