Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a forward thinking, highly motivated, innovative, dedicated and experienced registered Mental Health Practitioner to provide team leadership to Lancaster and Morecambe HBTT. You will be responsible for providing leadership and ensuring that the care provided is safe, effective and supports service users and carers.

You will be able to reflect LSCFT values of being kind, respectful, working as part of a team and always learning. You should have experience and demonstrate evidence of learning and leading improvement. Experience of working within the community Urgent Care pathway is desirable. You should also be able to demonstrate a commitment to supporting engagement with service users and carers to support service development.

You should be able to demonstrate evidence of care that facilitates a positive culture of patient engagement, a commitment to enhance the service user and carer experience and promote an environment that facilitates continued staff professional development. You should be able to demonstrate effective, evidence based care management, risk assessment and leadership skills. You must have the ability to positively influence and adapt to a rapidly developing service that is able to meet the needs service users and carers.

Main duties of the job

To support the service manager in the running with first line management for a community-based Lancaster and Morecambe Home Based Treatment Team

The post holder will work with the team to develop the pathways, they will oversee supervision and mandatory training. They will be responsible for the delivery of a high quality and high performing team.

To support the team in ensuring that staff in the team have opportunities for continuing professional development, in order to provide best practice and meet the requirements of registering bodies, and to drive improvements in standards of clinical practice and patient care in line with the NHS modernisation and Public Health agendas.

To work with the Team and service manager to actively lead in the delivery of the clinical governance, quality improvement and performance management agenda within an identified locality team.
