Main duties of the job

As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Clinical Practitioner at Operose Health, you'll play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive care for patients, from initial history taking to diagnosis and treatment. Your role will involve making safe clinical decisions, showcasing expert care and assessment skills, and collaborating with the general practice team to enhance patient care. You'll contribute to policy delivery and provide nurse leadership as needed. The ideal candidate should have primary care experience, NMC registration, and progress towards a non-medical prescriber qualification. A Minor injury and illness qualification is necessary, along with the ability to maintain high care standards. While a level 7 (MSc) Practitioner is preferred, those accredited or pursuing ACP status at MSc level may also be considered.

Main Responsibilities: As a valued member of the Operose Health team, your key duties will include:

  • Provide care for presenting patient from initial history taking clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care.
  • You must demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnosis skills for patients within the general practice.
  • You will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of the patients, supporting delivery of policy and procedures and providing nurse leadership as required.

Ideal Candidate: What we look for in new colleagues:

  • Experience in a Primary Care setting.
  • NMC registered nurse with advance clinical practice tor working towards non-medical prescriber.
  • Minor injury and illness qualification essential and the ability to maintain and monitor standards of care
  • It is preferred that the ideal candidates is a level 7 (MSc) Practitioner, although candidates with accreditation or a MSc course to ACP status may also be considered.
