Main duties of the job
As part of our team, you will be a friendly and hardworking individual ready to join our busy Homecare team as a Senior Pharmacy support worker within University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS).
Homecare is a service that involves arranging medication and treatments to over 9640 patients in their home via 12 different Homecare providers.We are a small but expanding team of 13 staff consisting of 2 Pharmacy Technicians, 1 Senior Officer, 2 Advanced Senior Pharmacy Support Workers, 5 Senior Pharmacy Support Workers, and 3 Pharmacy Support Workers. The department operates Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 17:30.
Job description
In this role, your key responsibilities will include raising purchase orders against Homecare prescriptions, receipting goods onto our system & also processing invoices for payment through our CMM computer system. Other duties include looking after homecare provider statements & co-ordinating the daily emails & queries. You will also be responsible for supervising & organising the team of pharmacy support workers. This vacancy does not meet the Home Office threshold for sponsorship therefore we are unable to accept applications from candidates who do not have the right to work in the UK.The ideal candidate will have:- IT experience- suitable supervisory & organisational skills- show attention to details- excellent written and verbal communication- ability to prioritise workload - ability to work independently
