Job summary

  • We are looking for an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Co-ordinator to support the EDI Lead in embedding inclusive behaviours and a culture of belonging across Ashgate Hospice. Working within the People and Culture team, and alongside Learning and Organisational Development colleagues, you will coordinate agreed EDI learning, engagement, compliance and reporting activity so that staff and volunteers are equipped with the knowledge, resources and confidence to work inclusively. Youll also help us keep in touch with partner organisations who are working towards the same inclusivity goals. This role will suit someone who is highly organised, confident communicating with a range of people, able to maintain accurate records and action logs, and interested in supporting practical EDI activity that makes a meaningful difference.
  • Hours: 15 hours per week, 0.4 FTE. We are open to flexible working, and the role may suit short working days.
  • Contract length: 18 months fixed-term contract

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will coordinate agreed EDI learning and engagement activities, including planning, administration, promotion, evaluation, action tracking and record keeping. You will help maintain accessible learning materials, SharePoint, Roadmap and learning management system pages so that resources, guidance and training records are accurate and easy to access. You will also support colleagues and volunteers to access EDI learning, identify practical barriers to participation and escalate themes or risks to the EDI Lead. You will support EDI events, awareness days, staff network activity and inclusion campaigns, coordinating logistics, communications, accessibility needs and agreed follow-up actions. You will also support accreditation, audit and compliance activity by maintaining evidence logs, action trackers, submission deadlines and accurate records to inform reporting and continuous improvement.
