We are looking for skilled nurse with an understanding of caring for patients with colorectal cancer, who is enthusiastic, motivated, proactive and autonomous in their practice. We are committed to providing a highquality service and a supportive educational environment conducive to learning, which will ensure a good foundation for future practice.
The successful candidate will be fully supported by the Senior Colorectal Nurses. You will be involved in multi-varied caseloads, working independently and as part of a specialised team, nurse led initiatives, promotion of best practice, self- care and empowerment for patients and their families.
Main duties of the job
- To act as a key worker; delivering evidence based, personalised care through holistic assessment, care planning and evaluation of care through the running of nurse-led clinics for patients from diagnosis, through treatment and follow up. This might be via a clinic, inpatient or remote follow up setting.
- To work at an enhanced level to plan and provide clinical care and psychological support to patients with a cancer diagnosis who have complex needs.
