Job summary
The Retreat Clinics is seeking an experienced and motivated registered health professional to join our Adult Autism Service. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality autism assessments and diagnostic outcomes for adults. So experience in Autism Assessments is Essential.
You will work alongside experienced clinicians and experts by experience to provide person-centred, evidence-based assessments while contributing to the ongoing development and evaluation of our autism pathway.
This role is ideal for a clinician with experience of working with autistic adults who is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care and continually improving services.
Sessional
We are keen to hear from experienced clinicians who would like to undertake autism assessments on a sessional basis.

Main duties of the job
As an Adult Autism Assessor, you will:
- Undertake comprehensive autism assessments for adults referred to the service.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions and shared diagnostic decision-making.
- Produce clear, accurate and timely clinical documentation using electronic patient record systems.
- Assess and manage clinical risk in line with professional and organisational policies.
- Deliver assessments in a person-centred manner that reflects the values and ethos of The Retreat Clinics.
- Maintain professional registration and practise in accordance with your professional body's standards and legal requirements.
- Contribute to service evaluation, quality improvement and research activity where appropriate.
- Ensure appointments, activity and clinical information are accurately recorded within electronic systems.
- Work towards agreed individual objectives and organisational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Contribute positively to service development and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Promote the rights, choices and experiences of the people who use our services.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and information governance.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role and your level of experience.
