General Practice ManagerNHS
Job summary
We are seeking an organised, proactive, and delivery-focused Practice Manager to lead the operational management of Greenford Road Medical Centre.
This is a senior leadership role that goes far beyond the day-to-day administration of a GP practice. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the practice, providing strategic oversight of performance, workforce planning, service delivery, governance, and continuous improvement.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading people and services, and is passionate about making a meaningful difference within primary care.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a full-time individual to work 37.5 hours per week, providing senior operational and performance leadership across the multidisciplinary Allied Health Professional (AHP) workforce. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring services are delivered efficiently, teams are supported to perform at their best, and patient care remains at the centre of everything we do.
This role is focused on driving high-quality, productive and accountable services through effective workforce management, performance oversight and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will take ownership of operational delivery, proactively identifying challenges, implementing solutions and supporting teams to achieve agreed objectives.
Combining strategic thinking with strong operational leadership, you will use data, insight and performance metrics to inform decision-making, improve outcomes and ensure services are delivered within financial and capacity constraints.
We are looking for a confident, commercially aware and detail-oriented leader who can work autonomously, build effective relationships with clinical and senior leaders, and take responsibility for delivering results with minimal supervision.
Job description

The successful candidate will have strong operational leadership skills, the ability to manage change, and a track record of improving performance and patient experience. You will be confident using data and insight to drive decision-making, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the achievement of organisational objectives.
Working in partnership with clinicians and the wider practice team, you will provide the operational structure, leadership, and oversight required to ensure services run effectively, staff are supported to succeed, and the practice is well positioned to meet the evolving needs of its patients and the wider NHS.
