The Female Relief Care and Support Worker will play a key role within Jewish Cares Retirement Living Service, providing flexible bank cover to support tenants to live independently while ensuring their safety, dignity, wellbeing, and quality of life. Working across day and night shifts as required, the postholder will provide person-centred care and support within a welcoming community environment, responding to individual needs and preferences. The role involves supporting tenants with daily living, personal care, medication, welfare checks, and maintaining accurate records, while building positive relationships and encouraging independence, choice, and meaningful engagement. We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Female Relief Care and Support Worker to join our Retirement Living Service on a bank basis, providing flexible cover across day and night shifts. You will support tenants living in their own homes within our Retirement Living communities, helping them maintain their independence while providing care, reassurance, and practical support when needed. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will build meaningful relationships with tenants, respond to their individual needs, and help create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment. At Jewish Care, we support people to live independently, with dignity and connection at the heart of everything we do. Our Retirement Living services offer a vibrant, supportive community where tenants can enjoy their independence, knowing care and support are there when needed.
We are seeking experienced Support Workers who can provide bank/ relief cover both during the day and nights and can work all the following shifts throughout the week and weekends when required. 7.00am to 3.00pm
3.00pm to 9.00pm
9.00pm to 7.00am
There is a genuine occupational requirement, in accordance with the Sex Discrimination Act 1974, for the postholder to be female.
About the role This isnt a typical care role.
As a Care & Support Worker, youll support tenants living in their own flatshelping them stay independent, connected, and in control of their lives. From practical support to companionship, youll build meaningful relationships and play a key role in creating a strong community.
