Our award-winning Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service is looking for an experienced Band 8a Clinical Head to join our progressive, ambitious and forward-thinking team.

As a nurse-led service, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality clinical practice, influencing organisational wellbeing strategy and developing innovative approaches to workforce health improvement. We are committed to delivering excellence, continuous learning and collaborative working across the wider healthcare system.

If you are an experienced, confident Occupational Health practitioner with a real passion for leadership, quality improvement and service transformation this is the role for you. The Clinical Head will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the service whilst supporting a skilled and enthusiastic multidisciplinary clinical team.

Main duties of the job

Working jointly with the Operational Head, you will be reporting directly to the Associate Director of Workforce Operations. This influential role sits at the heart of the People Directorate, providing a unique opportunity to shape workforce health and wellbeing strategy, influence senior decision-making and lead the continued development of a national award-winning Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service.

Job description

Qualifications:

  • RGN Level 1
  • Post graduate diploma or masters in Specialist Community, Public Health Nursing – as recorded on part 3 of the NMC register
  • Recent and relevant continuous professional development

Experience:

  • Extensive post registration nursing experience in an occupational health setting
  • Extensive demonstrable operational management experience, with previous experience of managing large groups of staff
  • Extensive experience of effective staff engagement and management.
  • Demonstrates a high level of numerical and data analytical skills, including spreadsheets and databases;
  • Experience of working autonomously as a clinical practitioner in a nurse led service
