Are you an experienced GP with a passion for clinical leadership, service improvement and developing high-performing primary care teams?

At Rosedean House Surgery, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Clinical Lead GP to work in partnership with the Business Manager and wider OneMedical Group team to help shape the future of this long-established and valued local service.

This is an exciting opportunity for a GP who wants to combine high-quality patient care with visible clinical leadership, supporting the practice through its next stage of development and playing a key role in its improvement journey.

Following our recent CQC 'Good' rating, we are continuing to invest in our people, our services and the Liskeard community, alongside exciting plans for a state-of-the-art redevelopment of the surgery in the very near future.

Main duties of the job

  • Clinical Leadership: Providing visible leadership, guidance and mentorship across the multidisciplinary team
  • Quality & Governance: Acting as CQC Registered Manager and maintaining high standards of clinical governance, safety and compliance
  • Team Development: Supporting the recruitment, development and retention of clinical colleagues and promoting a culture of learning.
  • Practice Improvement: Working with the Business Manager to drive service improvement and develop a sustainable primary care model
  • Clinical Delivery: Delivering high-quality planned and urgent primary care with a focus on continuity and compassionate patient care.
  • Driving Excellence: Leading clinical meetings and supporting quality improvement, QOF, medicines management and service development.

You will be someone who wants to make a genuine difference - to patients, to colleagues and to the future of primary care at Rosedean House Surgery.

Job description

As Clinical Lead GP, you will provide clinical leadership across the practice, supporting our multidisciplinary team, strengthening clinical governance and helping to develop a sustainable, resilient and patient-centred model of care.

Located in the heart of East Cornwall, Liskeard offers the perfect blend of rural charm, rich heritage and modern connectivity, where you can:

  • Make a meaningful difference in a historic market town and develop lasting relationships with patients and the local community.
  • Work within a close-knit practice while benefiting from the resources, expertise and career opportunities of a wider healthcare organisation.
  • Enjoy excellent connectivity, with direct rail links to Plymouth and Truro.
  • Become part of an exciting period of transformation, including plans for a new state-of-the-art surgery.

The surgery has served the local community since 1874 from its Grade II listed building and is home to a dedicated team, providing care to approximately 10,000 registered patients. We also have exciting plans to deliver a state-of-the-art redevelopment of the surgery in the very near future.

When you join Rosedean House Surgery, you will enjoy working in a friendly, close-knit local team, backed by the stability, resources, and career progression of a modern healthcare leader.

Your Role & Responsibilities

As Clinical Lead GP, you will divide your time between clinical delivery, clinical leadership and service development.

Working closely with the Business Manager and supported by colleagues across One Medical Group, you will provide visible and approachable clinical leadership across the practice and help drive improvements in quality, safety, governance and patient care.

You will also act as the practice's CQC Registered Manager, taking an active role in ensuring the service meets its regulatory and clinical governance responsibilities.

What We Offer

  • Salary: Up to £120,000 per annum FTE (40 hours) dependent on experience
  • NHS Pension: 20.6% employer contribution.
  • Annual Leave: 30 days plus Bank Holidays (pro-rata), plus an extra day of leave awarded for every year of service.
  • Protected CPD & Study Time: 10% of weekly working hours set aside for Continuing Professional Development (CPD), plus 5 days of study leave per annum (pro-rata).
  • Support & Indemnity: Full indemnity cover provided for the hours worked.
  • Relocation & Sponsorship: Relocation support may be available, alongside Skilled Worker visa sponsorship for eligible candidates.
  • Work-Life Balance: Flexible full-time or part-time patterns, plus enhanced Maternity, Paternity, and Adoption Pay.
  • Fully integrated EMIS system and GP Automate.
  • Health & Benefits: 24/7 confidential mental health support via Health Assured EAP, Eye Care vouchers, Cycle to Work scheme, and OMG's 'Refer a Friend' cash bonus scheme.

When you join OneMedical Group, you will become part of an organisation that is committed to helping you grow, make a meaningful contribution and thrive in your career.

Through our developing Elevate Academy, we are creating clear and accessible pathways that support colleagues from induction and role-specific learning through to apprenticeships, specialist expertise, leadership and education. We know that everyone's career journey is different, which is why we want every colleague to understand the opportunities available to them, identify their next step and receive the support they need to achieve it.

We will support and empower you to look after your own wellbeing while working together to create a healthier future for our patients, our colleagues and the communities we serve.
