Main duties of the job

Join the Agincare family as a Kitchen Assistant at Regency Care Home where you'll play an important role in preparing nutritious and delicious meals that residents can look forward to. You'll help make mealtimes enjoyable and comforting. The role offers £12.72 per hour with benefits such as a refer-a-friend scheme (up to £1000), career development, fully funded training to QCF Level 5, a Blue Light discount package, a company pension scheme, and on-demand pay. Requirements include 12 months' right to work in the UK, previous kitchen experience, and flexibility to work 24 hours per week, including alternate weekends. A positive, team-focused attitude is also essential. Your responsibilities will include supporting the chef in meal preparations, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, and following food safety, COSHH, and health and safety guidelines. Engagement with residents to create a warm and friendly dining experience is part of the role. A care background is not needed, as care is shown through meal preparation and creating a welcoming environment.
