Job summary

We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and motived leader who can bring energy and focus to the role of General Manager forAcute and Specialist Medicine for six months until the end of March 2027. This role is a key part of the Acute and Specialist Medicine directorate management team.

The successful candidate will provide senior leadership within the directorate and influence service design and delivery across the organisation. They will work with the Clinical Director and Head of Nursing provide leadership to directorate staff, ensuring clear communication of Trust and divisional values, vision, priorities and expectations to ensure the engagement of teams to deliver services of the highest quality, whilst ensuring that key performance and financial targets are met.

This post would suit an individual who has extensive experience at a senior level within an acute Trust environment and who has a good understanding of governance and performance requirements within the NHS.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in collaboration with multi-professional teams and has a strong commitment to improving performance, quality and safety.

Main duties of the job
