An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent position in the Medical Assessment Unit (MAU) and the brand new Acute Medical Recieving Unit at Macclesfield District General Hospital. We are inviting applications for Band 5 Nurses who are newly qualified or experienced Nurses who are seeking to expand their knowledge and skills within the Medical Assessment Unit.

The Medical Assessment Unit is a 28 bedded area with a new Acute Medical Reciving Unit opening later this year.

The post holder will deliver high-quality, patient-centred nursing care in a fast-paced environment, supporting the early recognition and management of acute illness. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, the Staff Nurse will play a key role in patient flow, safety, and the delivery of effective and efficient care in line with national standards and Trust policies.

Hours per week: 37.5 (part time hours also considered)

The role of a Staff Nurse is to support in the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of high quality nursing care. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the staff nurse will ensure patients receive the highest level of care, delivered using a holistic, patient-focused approach, while ensuring high standards of documentation are maintained.

Deliver high-quality,safe, and compassionate nursing care in accordance with professional standards, policies, and evidence-based practice.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised patient care plans to meet physical, psychological, and social needs.
• Monitor, record, and report patient condition, recognising and responding appropriately to signs of deterioration
