The role will provide an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, striving to improve patient outcomes and patient care through the delivery of high quality screening to the growing population of Wales.

This post forms part of Breast Test Wales (BTW) Programme, which aims to detect breast cancer at an early stage, thereby ensuring early treatment.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

Ensureseffective and efficientday to dayoperation ofScreening Pathway function for the programmethrough line management of a team ofScreening Pathway Administratorsresponsibleinviting, helpline support, result processing and pathway failsafe checks which must be done ina consistent and timely way

Responsiblefor thedevelopment and maintenance of detailedoperating procedures as well aswidercomplexfailsafe developmentthroughadetailed understanding of the programme information systemsand participant pathways.

Responsible forquality assurance bydelivering training, undertakingroutine and ad-hoc competency assessments, audits and targeted checksto ensurestaffandoperating proceduresare in line with programme quality standards and wider policy.

Job description

The post holder will be expected to have a detailed knowledge of the National Breast Service System (NBSS) in order to ensure participant pathways are managed in line with programme policy.

The post holder will be responsible for maintaining and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The post holder will be the lead for any project-based work as the need arises and as directed by the All Wales Screening Pathway Manager.

The post holder will be expected to liaise with a range of staff regarding information requirements for effectiveprogramdelivery and performance of the screening pathway processes.

As part of the Screening Pathway function the postholder may be asked to work across Screening Division as required, however their main base will be within Breast Test Wales, Swansea.
