Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Associate Professor OR Lecturer/Assistant Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology

within UCD School of Chemistry.

The person appointed will be expected to become a leading figure within Ireland’s Medicinal Chemistry & Chemical Biology community, sustain an internationally recognised research team, and interact with other disciplinary areas within the University. The appointee will also be expected to take full advantage of large-scale national research funding opportunities (for example, through Research Ireland), and potential research funding streams available through the European Union and other international agencies.

Entry to UCD Science programmes is highly competitive and we attract talented students from Ireland and abroad. The School delivers three BSc programmes (Chemistry, Chemistry with Environmental and Sustainable Chemistry, and Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology). The latter is currently the largest BSc major in the College of Science, and the successful candidate will play an important role in the development and delivery of the latter. In addition, we contribute courses to several other Schools, and postgraduate-level courses to our taught MSc and structured PhD programmes.

95 Associate Professor\2010 Salary Scale: €85,864 - €121,260 per annum

Or

95 Lecturer/Assistant Professor (Above The Bar): €66,055 - €104,600 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
