Client Services Advisor - Cyson CymruCouncil
This is advertised on behalf of Cyson Cymru in partnership with Newport City Council
Client Services Advisor
If you enjoy solving problems, keeping things organised and delivering excellent customer service, we'd like to hear from you!
Great customer service is about more than answering enquiries. It's about listening, taking ownership and making sure customers get the support they need. If you enjoy solving problems, building relationships and keeping things organised, this could be the role for you.
Newport City Council is supporting Cyson Cymru, Wales' first Local Authority Trading Company, with the recruitment of a Client Services Advisor. Joining a busy and customer-focused team, you'll help coordinate services, support customers and play an important role in ensuring work progresses smoothly from enquiry through to resolution.
Why This Role Matters
As a Client Services Advisor, you'll be at the centre of day-to-day service delivery on a busy helpdesk. You'll often be the first point of contact for customers, helping to ensure enquiries are handled efficiently, information is shared with the right people and work progresses as planned. Working closely with operational teams, suppliers and contractors, you'll play an important role in coordinating activity and maintaining high levels of customer service.
This is a role for someone who enjoys staying organised, communicating with a wide range of people and keeping things moving. You'll take ownership of enquiries and service requests, helping to ensure customers receive timely updates and that work is delivered effectively from initial contact through to completion.
Success in this role comes from building strong working relationships, managing competing priorities and maintaining a professional, customer-focused approach in a fast-paced environment.
About You
You'll be a confident communicator who enjoys working with people and building positive working relationships. Organised and proactive, you're comfortable managing competing priorities and maintaining high levels of accuracy, even in a busy environment.
You take a practical approach to problem-solving and are able to adapt as priorities change. Whether you're responding to enquiries, coordinating activity or communicating with customers and colleagues, you'll remain professional, focused and committed to delivering a high standard of service.
You may already have experience managing customer enquiries, service requests or complaints within a customer service, administration, helpdesk or service coordination environment. Whatever your background, you'll bring strong communication skills, attention to detail and the confidence to take ownership, solve problems and deliver a professional service.
Why Join Cyson Cymru?
This is an opportunity to join Wales' first Local Authority Trading Company and become part of a team that plays a vital role in delivering services for customers across the region.
As Cyson Cymru continues to grow, you'll have the chance to contribute to an organisation that values professionalism, collaboration and continuous improvement. In return, you'll join a supportive team environment where your contribution matters and where you'll be trusted to take ownership and make a meaningful impact.
The role includes annual pay awards in line with NJC agreements, membership of the NEST Pension Scheme, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with annual leave entitlement increasing through continuous service. Cyson Cymru also offers an enhanced company sickness scheme that grows with length of service.
The role is based on a 37-hour working week, Monday to Friday, from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
