Job summary
The post holder will join the General Medicine team at William Harvey Hospital, providing high-quality, consultant-led care to patients admitted under General Medicine.
The role is primarily focused on ward-based care and the management of medical outliers across the WHH site, ensuring safe, timely, and effective care for all patients regardless of location within the hospital.
The Consultant will play a key role in supporting patient flow, improving clinical outcomes, and delivering care in line with Trust standards, NICE guidance, and GMC requirements. The role includes leadership within the multidisciplinary team, supervision of junior staff, and active engagement in governance, teaching, and service development
