Job summary
We are pleased to share an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to work on our inpatient mental health wards including PICU.
We have a team consisting of a AHP Lead, Clinical Lead who all work into the wards to provide evidence based high quality Occupational interventions.
The role of the ward OT is to assess occupational and vocational needs and provide occupational therapy interventions on an individual and / or group basis to service users with complex mental health needs in the inpatient wards.
To work flexibly across the adult mental health wards to provide Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to patients with a wide variety of mental health needs and social circumstances.
Main duties of the job
This job is for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, based in the Adult mental health inpatient wards in Doncaster. The post holder will be required to be flexible, be part of a 7-day rota. However, there are plans that may require a band 5 to work over seven days 8am - 8pm.
The role of the band 5 Occupational Therapist will be to assess, plan intervention and evaluation the treatment plans for a range of patients under the supervision of the band 6 Occupational Therapist. They will be required to work autonomously as part of a multi-disciplinary team and lead and participate in service developments in the area that they are based in.
