Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed, enthusiastic and motivated person to join the urology nursing team. This is an across site post, with nurse-led clinics at the newly established Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at Mile End Hospital, which will be a 7 day service with 12 hour days.

The successful applicant will be part of a well-established multi-disciplinary team working closely with the Urology Consultants, junior doctors and other Nurse Specialists across Barts HealthYou will be expected to play an active part in supporting the quality of care delivered to urology cancer patients through clinical practice, nurse led clinics, education, research and audit.The post holder should have experience in urological nursing and to have acquired substantial knowledge and associated advanced nursing skills for bladder/renal cancers in their career so far .

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will work as an independent practitioner and with members of themultidisciplinary team, provide advice and support to patients, carers, and healthcareprofessionals on bladder cancer, across both secondary and primary care. The post whichwill be a 7 day service with 12 hour days, across Barts Health.

The post holder will influence the positive experience of patients and carers living with bladder cancer by working with the multi-disciplinary team across the Trust and acting as the patients key worker.

The post holder will promote safe, competent and evidence- based practice, in line with national objectives and within the clinical governance framework.
