Job summary
Adult Cystic Fibrosis Care
Band 8A Practitioner Psychologist
12-month fixed term contract - 0.4 WTE
Role will suit candidates commencing in highly specialist roles (Band 8A). Post will be embedded within Adult Cystic Fibrosis care team, working alongside a wide range of professionals (including practitioner psychology colleagues) in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Some sessions may be delivered working from home.
Main duties of the job
Provision of high quality, evidence-based psychological care to patients and their families and carers of respective medical speciality.
Support the ongoing improvement of psychological pathways in speciality.
Provision of consultation, training and supervision to MDT colleagues around issues pertaining to psychological models of working such as stepped care and trauma informed practice.
Working autonomously with an appropriate clinical caseload.
Research, service development and project work.
Opportunities to develop additional competencies/undertake CPD and professional training in keeping with yearly appraisal/service needs as well as objectives of the wider physical health psychological services across Greater Manchester.
