We are looking for an enthusiastic band 6 physiotherapist with paediatric experience to come and join our team of paediatric Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists here in Rotherham.This role is a part-time role (15hrs per week) within our mainstream team. You will be joining a community-based team working with children aged 0-19 years with a range of neurological, genetic and developmental conditions. We work in partnership with families, and carers in a variety of settings, including preschool and schools both special and mainstream, patients homes, clinics, hydrotherapy and the child development centre. You will work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team.We are a friendly, supportive team committed to providing high quality care. Your professional development will be supported by experienced band 7 physiotherapists who you will work closely with. You will be part of an in-service training programme and you will have opportunity to access external training.
Main duties of the job
- You will hold your own caseload of children and be expected to manage this autonomously.
- You will be expected to delegate effectively to Band 4 assistant practitioners to support the implementation of therapy treatment blocks.
- You will assess for and issue postural equipment as clinically indicated this may include postural walkers, standing frames and sleep systems.
- You will be involved in the use of national outcome measures e.g. CPIPS and expected to take the lead in this outcome measure when it is a patient on your caseload being assessed.
