Community Resilience Link Worker

Make a difference where it matters most.

We're looking for passionate and proactive Community Resilience Link Workers to support individuals and families experiencing, or at risk of, financial hardship across Blackburn with Darwen.

Working directly within local communities, you will provide practical, strengths-based support to help residents maximise their income, access services, improve wellbeing, and build long-term resilience. You'll engage people in a range of interventions and opportunities that prevent issues from escalating into crisis and support them to achieve positive, sustainable outcomes.

Working alongside colleagues across Adult Services, Public Health, Children's Services, Housing, Education and Family Hubs, and in partnership with Social Prescribing teams, the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector, and wider universal providers, you will play a key role in identifying need early, connecting residents to the right support, and improving outcomes for individuals and families.

This is a three-year fixed-term post funded through the Government's Crisis and Resilience Fund, offering a unique opportunity to be part of a new team, shape an innovative approach to crisis prevention, and make a lasting difference to residents and communities across Blackburn with Darwen.

If you're committed to prevention, reducing inequalities, and helping people thrive, we'd love to hear from you.

We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the communities we serve. We actively welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, experiences and perspectives, and particularly encourage applications from those who are underrepresented in our workforce or who bring lived experience of financial hardship or community support. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive working environment where everyone feels valued, supported and able to thrive.
