University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB) is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Deputy Director of Finance to join the leadership team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEH), a world-renowned teaching hospital recognised for innovation, clinical excellence and transformational patient care. We are looking for a qualified CCAB accountant with significant senior-level financial management experience, exceptional leadership skills and the ability to influence at executive level. You will be a confident communicator, able to translate complex financial information into meaningful insight that drives action and supports sustainable improvement.

Main duties of the job
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will act as a trusted strategic advisor to senior operational and clinical leaders, shaping decisions that improve outcomes for patients while ensuring strong financial stewardship. You will lead financial planning, performance management, transformation programmes and productivity initiatives across a major Clinical Delivery Group, while supporting organisation-wide objectives and deputising for the Director of Finance when required.
