Our patient-centred, innovative GP surgery is seeking an organised and approachable professional to join our team on a fixed-term basis.
In this varied role, you will support our practice across front-of-house patient services, secretarial duties, and data entry/coding. Previous secretarial and data entry experience is essential for this position. We offer a supportive environment where you can actively develop your skills alongside a dedicated team.

Experience of working in a GP Surgery and knowledge of EMIS Web would be advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate who can demonstrate the following key skills:
Main duties of the job
The core responsibilities of the Medical Administrator role are to receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. Provide general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
In this varied role, you will also be responsible for undertaking a wide range of secretarial and data entry duties in a timely manner. Core responsibilities include liaising with external agencies such as secondary care and community services, audio type referrals and reports, sending referrals using the electronic referral service (e-RS), and coding clinical data onto patient medical records.
High standards of communication and typing skills are required and the post-holder must be flexible, have high attention to detail and be able to work under pressure, prioritise work, problem solve and work both independently using their own initiative and as part of a team.
The post-holder will positively contribute to the delivery of an excellent patient experience in all aspects of work, written, verbal and face to face.
