We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Registered Nurse Associate to join our Primary Care team at HMP Wayland, a category C Prison located in Griston in Norfolk.

Hours

Monday to Friday - 07:30 to 19:30  Weekends and Bank Holidays 08:30 to 17:30

Salary

£19.82 per hour

Main duties of the job

As a Registered Nurse Associate, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Provide outstanding care to our patients, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them
  • You will contribute to and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics as well as assisting patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care involving anything from health promotion clinics and observations to supporting the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care within healthcare centres and on wings and house blocks.
  • Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, our partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within and feel proud of
  • Promote best practice, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement embedding a culture of shared learning. You will promote patient wellbeing through our overarching Wellbeing
  • Approach, demonstrating empathy and understanding to our patients.

Qualifications required:

  • Qualified Nurse Associate
  • Currently registered with the NMC
  • Training to level 3 in the safeguarding of vulnerable people
  • Demonstrate current/recent preceptorship pathway since joining the NMC register
  • Evidence of post registration CPD in areas relating to current practice

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
