We are looking for an organised and motivated Breast Screening Administrative Assistant (Senior) to join our Breast Imaging Service at East Cheshire NHS Trust. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in supporting both the NHS Breast Screening Programme and the Symptomatic Breast Service, helping to ensure patients receive high-quality, timely care.

Hours per week: 22.5

Main duties of the job

Working as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will provide accurate administrative and data management support, manage patient appointments and records, respond to telephone enquiries, and ensure screening and symptomatic service information is processed in line with national standards. You will support the administration of breast assessment clinics, maintain accurate patient records, liaise with clinical teams and external organisations, and contribute to the smooth running of both services.

The role also includes supporting the supervision of junior administrative staff and contributing to quality assurance, audit activities, and continuous service improvement.

The ideal candidate will have strong administrative experience, excellent attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage a varied workload in a busy environment. Experience within the NHS or healthcare setting and knowledge of NHS systems would be advantageous but are not essential.
