We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Assistant Technical Officer (Pharmacy Dispensary) to support the smooth and efficient operation of the Inpatient Dispensary service. Main duties of the job

Under the supervision of the lead pharmacy technician participate in the dispensing process for the Inpatient Dispensary; accurately labelling and dispensing medicines and other pharmacy products, including unlicensed and named-patient products, to fulfill all types of prescriptions.

To participate in stock controlmanagement, maintaining adequate levels of stock and preventing wastage of drugs due to expiry.

To use the current pharmacy computer system to accurately and responsibly record all issues, stock transfers and returns in order to maintain stock balances and promote efficient ordering and distribution.

At all times to comply with all relevant policies of Main Pharmacy, and to ensure the maintenance of professional standards and compliance with legal requirements.

At all times to maintain the safe standards of work and a safe and appropriate environment as required by the provisions of the Medicines Act, the Health and Safety at Work Act, COSHH, and waste disposal regulations, and any other requirements that may from time to time be placed upon the department

To participate on a rota basis in the provision of the Main pharmacy services including late night and weekends.
