Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of neighbourhood nursing. As a Locality Nurse Manager, you will be at the forefront of delivering the Neighbourhood Health Plan, working in partnership with Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INTs) to lead the frailty pathway. You will champion integrated working across health and social care, influence service development, and ensure high-quality, proactive care for people living with frailty and long term conditions within the community. You will have extensive nursing experience preferably in a community setting with demonstrable management and leadership capability.
The post is responsible for the delivery of all aspects of agreed outputs for the teams and service. As a visible and experienced leader you will manage risk, governance and performance, hold financial accountability for the delivery of service within the financial envelope and contribute to organisational savings, develop staff capability and the management of demand and capacity. As a people person you will have excellent communication skills and a track record of managing staff with compassion whilst delivering high standards and service KPI's. Skilled in managing competing demands you will have impeccable organisational and time management skills.
Two posts available, one substantive and one secondment for approx. 10 months covering two large Integrated Neighbourhood Teams NN based teams each.

Main duties of the job
The candidate will manage and lead at least two neighbourhood nursing INT areas providing cover for the absence of colleagues where necessary and in addition. The post is responsible for the delivery of all aspects of agreed outputs for the teams and service. As a visible and experienced leader you will manage risk, governance and performance, hold financial accountability for the delivery of service within the financial envelope and contribute to organisational savings, develop staff capability and the management of demand and capacity. As a people person you will have excellent communication skills and a track record of managing staff with compassion whilst delivering high standards and service KPI's. Skilled in managing competing demands you will have impeccable organisational and time management skills, be able to adapt verbal and written communication to a range of audience and circumstance, attend and contribute to service, GP, INT and other meetings, guide and support staff through turbulence and change and hold your staff to account.
