We are looking for motivated health care support workers/ nursing assistants to join our friendly team. We are particularly focusing on Community to join our Neighbourhood Nursing teams in Lambeth and Southwark which are one of only two teams in the country to be rated outstanding. We will also consider applications which demonstrate significant experience in Theatre or Acute mental health,
We may consider applications for inpatient and maternity roles should they arise in the meanwhile, applicants will be offered a reserve place if they successfully pass interview but we do not immediately have a position.
Important Information
- For this role it is essential that you have previous or current Acute Hospital or NHS community services.
- Care Certificate from an Ofqual regulated awarding organisation (Theory & Practical)
Once the advert has closed you will be emailed and ask to send us a copy of your care certificate, if we do not receive this within 48 hours you will not be eligible to be short listed for an interview
If you have been interviewed in the past 3 months you will not be eligible to be reinterviewed in this advert.

Selection process:
Phase 1 Monday 28th September 2026. Phase 1 will include a basic literacy and numeracy assessment and group discussion.
Phase 2: Those candidates who successfully pass phase 1 will be invited back on another date for interview.

To be part of our Senior Nursing Assistant (Band 3) team, we would like you to have the following qualifications:
- Experience in a hospital setting
- GSCE Maths and English Desirable
- Good standard of literacy and numerical skills is essential
- NVQ III in Healthcare and or a completed Full Care Certificate Programme which is an essential criterion for this role
- A calm and kind approach
- Willingness to learn and develop knowledge and skills in caring for complex patients with medical conditions.

Job description
- To assist under supervision in the delivery of fundamental nursing care and a range of clinical duties in liaison with the multidisciplinary team, to ensure the effective and efficient running of the ward/ service.
- To contribute to the implementation and progression of a range of patient treatment and care packages as delegated by a registered healthcare professional; reporting back on progress
- To provide day to day supervision and /or support co-ordination of learners and juniorstaff acting both as a leader and role model for Nursing Assistants/Healthcare Support Worker (band 2)
- To maintain own personal development with support from ward/departmental manager and provide support and guidance to others to help their development
- To demonstrate a broad skill base, planning own duties and organising own day to day work activities
- To ensure the safety and wellbeing of service users and always working in a manner that promotes dignity and human rights through the adoption of high-quality person-centred care and principles.
