MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST
We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our team.
Part Time - 3 days per week, to include Monday and Friday. The third day can be negotiated - Shifts on a rota basis
Shift Times are 08:00 - 16:30 or 10:00 - 18:30 (with 30 minute break), however flexibility is required to support with sickness and holiday cover.
24 Hours Per Week.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate needs to provide efficient, helpful and supportive reception and administration services to patients and our health professionals.
As a medical receptionist you will be responsible for meeting and greeting patients, answering telephone calls, dealing with queries, booking appointments via the EMIS system and data inputting.
Previous Medical Reception experience along with working knowledge of the EMIS system would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided.
This is a fast paced role where you need to be able to effectively multi task whilst ensuring a quality, effective and caring service is provided.

About us
Oakenhurst Medical Practice has a patient base of 10,000 within Blackburn with Darwen. We provide core General Medical Services including GP, Practice Nurse and Health Care Assistant consultations, regular review of long term health conditions, mental health disorders, palliative and end of life care and home visits to housebound patients. The additional services our Practice offers our patients is child health surveillance, routine childhood vaccinations and immunisations, maternity services, contraception services, cervical cytology and routine adult vaccinations and immunisation.
Our practice is based in a purpose built Health Centre in central Blackburn and we have a branch surgery in Mellor, within the Ribble Valley.
We are a large training practice who prides ourselves in delivering high quality care whilst maintaining the traditional values of patient-centred family medicine.
