Job summary
We are looking for a friendly, caring and organised GP Receptionist to join our welcoming practice team. Youll be the first point of contact for our patients, providing a professional and compassionate service while supporting the smooth running of the practice. If you enjoy helping people, working as part of a team and making a real difference to patients experience, wed love to hear from you!
Hours available: Monday-Friday 10:30am - 18:30pm
Main duties of the job
- Welcoming and assisting patients both face-to-face and over the telephone
- Booking and managing appointments
- Handling patient enquiries and signposting appropriately
- Processing prescriptions and administrative requests
- Maintaining accurate patient records and confidentiality
- Liaising with clinicians and the wider practice team
- Supporting the smooth and efficient running of reception and the practice

The ideal candidate will have a positive and calm manner, be compassionate, patient and understanding, be well organised and able to work systematically and be able to follow procedures and protocols closely. They will have good IT skills and be brilliant with people. They will need to be able to work in a busy environment, being helpful and efficient when communicating with other staff and patients. Experience in a similar role is preferred.
